The problem with humanity is that we think we are going to live forever. We think there is either life or consciousness after death. Why else would delusional people go on and on about the future of their Race or their Religion. Some even feel good about having 72 virgins waiting for them after death. As if, after death, your race, religion or willy will have any meaning or relevance to your rotten, decomposed dead self. Human life is very short, the average human lifespan is only 79 years, 3 score and 10 and most of us will not live long enough to reach even that. I just do not understand why a person, with such a small pathetic lifespan compared to some other living things on this planet, would care so much about something, so trivial like after death future of your race or religion. Migrant bodies floating on an ocean One of the main difference between some people I know and myself, is that they still have hope in humanity, still believe in humanity and still have faith in humanity. They still believe that Humanity can change and they can help change Humanity. Even after all their years on this planet and after going through centuries of human history. I am shocked that some people still believe that human beings are going to change, be more loving, more caring, more peaceful and coexist in harmony. I am still wondering why, which planet have you been living on? Yes we can find good decent individuals but as a people we are destined for more of the same, more mass violence and a vicious cycle of self-destruction.
