Taking into consideration the history of black people on this planet. One must ask the question, do black people have a responsibility to perform black nation building? Almost every other racial grouping performs some form of nation building within their race. So, do rich black people have a bigger responsibility to perform black nation building? I can only describe the American definition of black wealth as throwing pearls before swine. It is petty, non-progressive, semi-literate, vulgar, cheap, trivial, comical, flamboyant and a wasteful process. Designed to appeal to semi-literate, ignorant hood-rats. Most of these rich black people are just hood-rats with money, and they exist to make white people rich, at the expense of Black Nation Building.    Most visibly rich black Americans are entertainers, which includes people who play sports. In 2011, 20 people showed up to protest "Inequities and Injustices in the Jamaican society".   In 2012, 60 people show up at the JFJ’s protest against Police Corruption and Killings.  In 2023, a hand full of people showed up to protest Massive Politician Salary Increase.  BUT in 2023, thousands of people showed up, blocking roads because the American company Krispy Kreme was giving away Free Donuts.   I keep telling people If you want to Organized a Progressive Nation Building Protest then you need to string up a sound system and throw KFC from the back of trucks or  Krispy Kreme donuts!

I have been following several offspring's of our rich, famous, and powerful Movers and Shakers. Historically the apple did not fall far from the tree, because offspring's normally follow in their parent’s footsteps, you know that Norman to Michael succession process. A lot of the modern-day offspring are the most useless and worthless bubbleheaded ditzy set of people floating around Jamaica.  People with big powerful last names who are supposed to be the next generations of Nation Builders, Movers and Shakers and all they do is keep up the most almshouse in life. Some spend their days and nights on social media creating Reels and TikTok rubbish. Talking about how they are social media influencers. It is that time of the year again, Emancipation and Independence, known locally as “ EmanciPendence ”.  A time of Hyper-Merriment and Festivities!  This independence is different from previous. It is our 60 th  year of independence (Semi-Independence), our Diamond Jubilee. It is also that time of the year when Jamaicans start to ask the question, why are we celebrating and what are we celebrating? While playing the blame game, identifying who is responsibility for Jamaica not achieving its full potentials. The usual target of their wrath are the members of the Political Class, who really are just a subset of the people. If the politicians are useless, worthless and corrupt, then they came from useless, worthless and corrupt people. Happy Semi-Independence Day, as full Independence would mean the Republic of Jamaica and not the Monarchy of Jamaica, which is our official title. Semi-Independent Jamaica is 59. In the scheme of things and compared to other countries we are still in our infant stage as a country. Jamaica is a country with a lot of potentials, we could have achieved so much more as a people, if we only we were more disciplined and applied ourselves to the process of Progressive Nation Building. However, after Independence we did not think or operate as a collective, or for the greater good and in the national interest. For a while we tried the Social Engineering experiment and made some good improvements, but we abandoned Social Engineering and embraced the less unifying, “Every Man for Himself” capitalistic concept. There is nothing I dislike more, than when Jamaicans, mainly overseas Jamaicans, declare that Jamaica needs to stay in its lane. We also get it a lot from bigger more arrogant and ignorant people from developed first world countries but I hate it more when it comes from Jamaicans. The fact is, the lane they are telling us to stay in, was not created by us but was created for us. Being told to stay in your lane is the most demeaning thing you can tell a Jamaican because we are not accustomed to staying in any predefined lanes, except when breaking world records at various athletics meets. It is clear that EmanciPendence is not a time for celebration, it is not a time to celebrate great milestones in history and bask in our greatness but a time for expressing great shame and throw blame. Not too long ago I posted a response on the Gleaner Facebook site declaring that every single Jamaican regardless of Geographic location, regardless of age and gender was responsible for the Social and Economic problems, condition and state of Jamaica. As a result of posting this I was bombarded with several responses from people declaring that they had nothing to do with what was and is happening in Jamaica. They had nothing to do with the condition of the country and the state of our society and economy. These people were not only declaring their innocence but started identifying individuals and entities who they consider was the real guilty culprits, the people who should be taken round back, placed against the wall and shot dead. For Old Time Sake One of the best things I have done on Facebook is to unlike the Jamaican news reporting page OG.NR or as I like to call it “On the Ground Bad News Report”, as a result my phone inbox and Facebook wall is now free from constant 100% bombardment of Bad disgusting negative news about Jamaica and Jamaicans, I now only get my news, when I want my news and on my terms.
