The Integrity Commission, Jamaica and Partisan Politics
At a time when political corruption was running rampant, and the public started losing faith in their elected officials, the Government created an oversight commission called The Integrity Commission (IC) to make sure our elected officials keep their hands out of the public’s purse and are not using their position of power to enrich themselves. Everything was fine so long as The Integrity Commission found nothing and turn a blind eye to corruption or only find corruption with the opposing party.
The second The Integrity Commission go tek-fastness and report irregularities with the Government of the day, Jamaica almost erupted into near online civil war. The Integrity Commission was accused of being partisan and working for the opposing party trying to start a Coup d'état against the Government. The Opposition and their supporters jumped on the bandwagon trying to make the report look more serious, more dire than it is, as every utterance was like fuel on the fire. They even called on the Prime Minister to resign.
The sitting Government then demanded that Legislation be enacted to change the nature of the Integrity Commission. The Government supporters who have not even read the report started belittling everybody. They belittled the opposition and their supporters, they belittled The Integrity Commission, and belittled and downplayed the IC Report as nothing to see here, partisan witch hunt, mountain out of a mole hill, while playing a game of whataboutism. Some even called for the members of the Integrity Commission to be charged by police.
Both INDECOM and The Integrity Commission are public enemy number one, because Jamaicans only like to talk about good governance. Yes, they want change but only if it does not affect them or their Political party or poor little gunman ghetto youths.

It was dead wrong for the People’s National Party to invite and parade that murdering dysfunctional bullfrog looking, Vybz Kartel on stage during the Party Conference. It was an affront to nation building and good morals, values and principles. This is disgusting! And something I cannot support! This was an insult to what Michael Manley stood for and shows the gutter trash state of the party and the gutter trash state of its leadership. No longer do you appeal to the nation on an intellectual and nation building level but on a gutter trash, dysfunctional level.
I am not sure what you people see when you look at a country like the USA. But I see a rich, dysfunctional country where arrogant and ignorant lunatics are trying to take over the madhouse. I do not see anything that is an example of good Governance and Nation Building. It is no wonder the USA is listed as a flawed democracy. I would also add violent and chaotic to that description. I see a country that is a day away from imploding. We grew up being brainwashed by fictional American ideals but knowing what we know now, I do not understand for the life of me how the United States of America can criticize any other country, as if the USA is a shining example in the light of darkness of what countries should aspire to. Yes, they are a rich country and if your only measure of success is money then in your mind, then they are successful.
I cannot understand how a country like the USA can maintain these weaponized lists that are used to judge and control black and brown developing countries. The United States has named Jamaica among four Caribbean countries it considers to be a major drug transit or major illicit drug producing country for the fiscal year 2025. I for one am tired of being on their weaponized made-up list which was created as a means of control. It is as if we are living for the approval of the USA because no other countries rake us over the fire like the USA. It seems to me the Americans gain a sense of superiority by constantly pointing out the inferiority of Black and Brown countries. Maybe we also need to start maintaining weaponized list like: “Jamaica has named United States among four other countries it considers to be a major illegal gun transit or major illicit weapons of death producing country for the fiscal year 2025. “ . Or just for being major buyers of illicit drugs.
Dear Americans, I beg of you, to try and get your Government to do more to prevent the illegal export of your guns, your precious weapons of death to lesser developed, poorer countries. 98% of all illegal weapons in my region comes from the United States of America. I cannot understand why it is so easy for illegal shipments of guns to leave your Technological Advance Ports and end up in the ports of lesser developed countries. Barrels upon barrels of your guns seems to turn up on our wharves and some find its way into our ghettos causing hundreds of thousands of deaths. Unless you are really not trying to prevent the illegal export of Guns but are instead enjoying the profits from them, living high off the death and destruction of others.
