Cuba, The United States Chew Toy and Punching Bag

There is absolutely no reason why this evil, wicked and inhumane embargo against Cuba is still in place since 1958. Except to inflict maximum human suffering and hardship, solely for American entertainment. Cuba is a poor country and not a threat to the USA or anyone. Unless the USA see the ideals of resistance to oppression as a threat. This is not about the system of Government or based on any principles, this is just a mean-spirited act of a big country against a small country. It is not about dictatorship, because the USA have supported, aid and abetted many ruthless malevolent dictators including but not limited to, the Dictators of Haiti, Augusto Pinochet of Chile, and that Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista who came to power with American help. China is a one-party Communist Country and in 2021 alone, the U.S. investments made in China were valued at 118.19 billion U.S dollars and $123.9 billion in 2020.  China was the United States' 3rd largest goods export market in 2020. U.S. goods exports to China in 2020 were $124.5 billion, up 16.9 percent ($18.0 billion) from 2019 and up 35 percent from 2010. U.S. goods imports from China totaled $434.7 billion in 2020. So, what is happening to Cuba is not based on principle but vengeance.

We have all seen what can happen in Cuba when the USA ease up its jackboots from off its neck just a little. The Cuban thaw was a normalization of Cuba–United States relations from July 2015 to June 2017, ending a 54-year stretch of hostility between the nations.

In March 2016, Barack Obama became the first U.S. president to visit Cuba since Calvin Coolidge in 1928. The diplomatic détente was rolled back under both Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden. This Cuban thaw resulted in increased economic activity and privatization of businesses. During the Obama years Cuba began to slowly emerge from the darkness only to be pushed back in my Joe “Cold war” Biden and Convicted Criminal Trump. It is one thing for the USA to not have any relationship with Cuba but to force third party countries to help with this evil embargo designed to cause human suffering, is just pure evil.

Cuba has always been a friend to Jamaica. Whenever we are in need, we can always count on Cuba to have our back. Cuba has built several schools in Jamaica such as José Martí Technical High School and the G.C. Foster College of Physical Education and Sport and The Fidel Castro Campus of the Anchovy High School in Montpelier, St. James, was opened in 2015. Cuba has also treated hundreds of Jamaicans for various eye diseases free of charge. Cuba for providing over 35,000 Jamaicans with free eye care and providing over 500 teachers to teach across Jamaica as well as providing scholarships to Jamaicans to study in Cuban universities. During COVID, Jamaica today welcomed 140 Cuban medical professionals to support the island's national response efforts for the Coronavirus Disease 2019.

The United States is telling poor developing countries to get rid of Cuban health care professionals and if they do not then their US Visas will be revoked. The USA is not saying get rid of Cuban doctors and nurses and we will replace them with American doctors and nurses. Are we destined to live our entire lives under this abusive, oppressive imperialist heels of the United States of America? Clearly the United States is only making decision in its own interest. They clearly do not care if we live, suffer and die. If they did, then they would offer to replace the Cuban healthcare professional. Jamaica has about 0.47 doctors per 1000 people and Cuba has about 9.429 doctors per 1000 people, the highest in the world. These Cuban doctors and nurses provide vital lifesaving healthcare to poverty stricken and vulnerable people. I am hoping that during this Global Realignment of 2025 where the USA turn on its allies, curse them out as freeloading vampires and hit them with Tariff leaving them confused, battered and bruised. That they will now lift Cuba out of that American cold damp basement.

“Their presence here is of importance to our health care system,” Kamina Johnson Smith, Jamaica’s foreign minister, said at a press briefing last week, noting the island has more than 400 Cuban doctors, nurses, biomedical engineers and technicians”.

At least two influential Caribbean leaders, the prime ministers of Trinidad and Tobago and of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, have publicly rallied against the new policy and said they would gladly forgo their U.S. visas.

It is clear to say that Cuba is the United States favorite chew toy and punching bag. To the US, Cuba is like a small child kidnapped and chained in a dark basement, who suffers regular beatings constant abuse for the pleasure and entertainment of Americans. I do not know what it is about Cuba why the USA always single them out for constant abuse. Cuba is not a dangerous country and not a threat to the United States. It is not inhabited by extremist hell bent on global domination. Compared to the USA, Cuba is a small Caribbean Island with a population of only 10 million people.

I know this much, Our Prime Minister Andrew Holness is afraid of Trump like puss! I know he is not governed by any morals, values or Principles and that when it comes to the USA he lives on his knees. So I do not expect anything other than we stab Cuba in the back and it would not be the first time. The JLP have a knack for stabbing countries who have been good to us in the back on the command of the USA. We all remember Venezuela, Jamaica benefited from Petrocaribe and then plunge the knife deep into their backs after out PM went to Mar-A-Lago for a chicken dinner.

Evil, Wicked and Inhumane Embargo Designed to Inflict Maximum Human Suffering.

In 1933, American backed Fulgencio Batista overthrew the provisional government. In 1952, American backed Fulgencio Batista led a second military coup against the sitting president of Cuba As such, Batista's repressive government then began to systematically profit from the exploitation of Cuba's commercial interests, by negotiating lucrative relationships both with the American Mafia, who controlled the drug, gambling, and prostitution businesses in Havana, and with large U.S.-based multinational companies who were awarded lucrative contracts.

To quell the growing discontent amongst the populace, which was subsequently displayed through frequent student riots and demonstrations. Batista established tighter censorship of the media, while also utilizing his Bureau for the Repression of Communist Activities secret police to carry out wide-scale violence, torture and public executions. These murders mounted in 1957, estimates of the death toll attributed to Batista were some 20,000 civilian victims. Throughout the 1950s, Havana served as "a hedonistic playground for the world's elite", producing sizable gambling, prostitution and drug profits for the American mafia, corrupt law-enforcement officials, and their politically elected cronies. In a bid to profit from such an environment, Batista established lasting relationships with organized crime, notably with American mobsters Meyer Lansky and Lucky Luciano, and under his rule Havana became known as "the Latin Las Vegas".

The Cuban Revolution was the military and political overthrow of American backed, corrupt and murderous Fulgencio Batista's dictatorship, which had reigned as the government of Cuba between 1952 and 1959. The United States embargo against Cuba has prevented U.S. businesses from conducting trade or commerce with Cuban interests since 1958. Modern diplomatic relations are cold, stemming from historic conflict and divergent political ideologies. U.S. economic sanctions against Cuba are comprehensive and impact all sectors of the Cuban economy. It is the most enduring trade embargo in modern history. The U.S. government influences extraterritorial trade with Cuba. Extraterritorial trade refers to a state applying and enforcing its laws to matters and persons outside its borders. Sanctions: Extraterritorial sanctions extend a country's policies to trade between third countries and a sanctioned country, potentially impacting businesses in those third countries.
