Exceptionalism, Ignorance and Arrogance

A lot of Americans believe the world needs the United States more than the United States need the world. This assumption is based on decades of American Exceptionalism, Ignorance and Arrogance engineered into most Americans from birth. The world needs every country on the planet to work together with respect and in the interest of human development.

No one is denying the United States position power on this planet, nor is anyone denying its importance to the global community. Much like the importance of the Roman Empire, French Empire and the British Empire at that time in history when they ran rampant. One also cannot deny that the United States at this moment in time in our history, is one of the riches and one of most powerful country on the planet. Much like the Roman Empire, French Empire and the British Empire historically. However, as we know, nothing in life lasts forever, empires come, and empires go, but life goes on. A country can be up today, riding high and the next it is down in the dumps, living on fumes or past glory (like the British Empire).I would have hoped that at this point in human development, we would have evolved out of this immature stage of Greed, Empires and the need for global Domination but it seems, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

There are no Great Countries on this planet! No country in the history of this planet as ever achieved Greatness. Achieving Greatness is not possible, well not by my definition at least. No country can be great when it is inhabited by human beings. Because humanity defines greatness, by their ability to cause human suffering, the use of force, violence, enslavement and mass murder to control others for nothing but wealth and power.

The United States of America declared a global trade war against almost every country on the planet sending the world’s stock markets in a panic and frenzy. The fact is, United States is not the center of the known universe and the world needs to stop acting as if the only way people on this planet get a breath of fresh air, is when the US President breaks wind.

China exported approximately 14.8% of its total exports to the United States, with a value of $502 billion. Total exports: China's global exports in 2023 were $3.4 trillion. 85.2% is diversified all over the world. Any attempt to tell the rest of the world to stop trading with China and you will remove tariffs, will fail. The world will NOT isolate China because they are value for money. The US must realize that China plays the long game. Not bogged down by term limits and pending elections they can take their own sweet time. For an American President, 4 years is life. For China they can scratch their ball sack for 4 years and wait out Trump. A lot of Americans believe the world needs the United States more than the United States need the world. This assumption is based on decades of American Exceptionalism, Ignorance and Arrogance engineered into most Americans from birth. The USA, the one attacked the Many, the planet when it put Tariffs on the entire planet. The “Many”, the rest of the planet responded to the One and started to diversify away from the USA, started forming alternate economic and trade and economic unions to bypass the One!

The average American do not understand that the power, wealth and the standard of living that they enjoy, comes from America's relationship with the rest of the world and without the world, that power and wealth would not exist. Let’s imagine for a moment that the USA does not trade with the rest of the world, we are just removing trade from the equation. About 8%, that is $2.184 trillion of the US $27.3 trillion GDP comes from international trade. We are not even looking at the knock-on effect of removing international trade such as reducing production, closing of companies and increasing unemployment, which would have even more cascading negative effects. The American Standard of Living and wealth depends on America’s relationship with the rest of the planet. The American economy operates/runs at a global level in order to provide Americans with its current standard of living. Like an engine that is too big for one car but was built to power 10 cars. So what is going to happen when the world no longer trust, like or want to do business with the USA?

To most Americans USAID represented a drain on America’s wealth. That is because successive Governments only pushed the negative narratives about the burden of giving aid and the burden of being Benevolent. American's were educated to view USAID as a burden and a waste of America’s wealth to feed freeloading, impoverish brown and black people around the Globe. As a result, the Americans developed deep resentment for the program.

What the average American did not know was that the USAID was an effective weapon in American’s foreign policy arsenal, used for global domination and control. They do not know of its importance to America’s production sectors, including agriculture and Agro-processing. For the receiver of American aid, it is the carrot on a stick that comes with many pro-USA conditions and if we refuse, then we are beaten with the stick.

The United States aid policy was designed to benefit American economy and society over and above the people who are receiving that aid. This is giving a man fish, instead of teaching him to fish. It gets crazy when you are discouraged/prevented from teaching yourself to fish and force to live out of another persons hands. The logic here is that you become a consumer to the American fishing industry, they invest is large ships and teach people to fish, employ people to fish. If it is aid then the US Government pumps billion into the fishing industry, this driving its development. It is is not aid then the poor important country often borrows money from the USA at high interest rates, the conditions of the loan stipulates that it must be use to buy fish from the USA.

Negotiating a Loan: I remember one year Jamaica potato crop was wiped out, I think it was either hurricane or disease. The Prime Minister explained that he approached the Americans for a loan to buy seed potatoes to distribute to farmers so they can restart production. He said the Americans would not event entertain the idea even when he promised to buy the seed potatoes from the USA. They wanted him to forget the idea of farming potatoes and buy/import potatoes from the American farmers. That was the only condition on which they would entertain the idea of a bilateral loan. We must become dependent on them because dependency is control which was profitable for them. In that year he took the high interest loan and imported  American Potatoes, so we had potatoes in supermarkets for the short term. He then approached the Europeans who provided the high interest loans minus the strict conditions on what we could spend it on. I think that year we imported seed potatoes from Australia and some goats which was distributed to farmers to restart production and goat breeding stock.
